Rising folk and indie artist Mon Rovîa is making waves with his highly anticipated debut album, Bloodline, set to release on January 9, 2026. Known for blending his Liberian roots with contemporary American folk, Mon’s music explores memory, identity, resilience, and the search for belonging. The album includes the previously released singles “Oh Wide World,” “Running Boy,” and “Heavy Foot,” as well as the new centerpiece track “Whose face am i.”
Ahead of the album’s release, Mon is hitting the road for his most expansive North American headline tour yet: A Place To Gather. The tour brings Mon’s storytelling and emotionally charged performances to venues across the United States and Canada, including a special stop at Irving Plaza in New York City on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
Fans attending the Irving Plaza show can expect an intimate evening of music that balances tender introspection with social commentary. Mon’s songs confront the legacies of migration, loss, and war while celebrating love, resilience, and connection. The tour offers a rare opportunity to see one of Spotify’s 2024 Juniper Artists to Watch perform live on one of NYC’s most iconic stages.
Mon Rovîa has already made a mark on major stages including Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Newport Folk Festival, Red Rocks, and the Grand Ole Opry. He also made history as the first musical guest on The Mel Robbins Podcast, where he discussed art, activism, and resilience.
