After a whirlwind year following the release of her latest album Sprinter, Orlando indie rocker Cat Ridgeway is bringing her high-energy live show to Berlin in New York City on Thursday, Sept. 26. Tickets are on sale now.
Described by Ridgeway as “indie rock for overthinkers,” Sprinter (out now) blends fiery indie rock with dream pop and folk textures. The record, praised by outlets like Under the Radar, Magnet Magazine, and Glide, showcases Ridgeway’s range — from the Motown-inspired title track to the punk-fueled “Epilogue” and the cosmic questioning of “What If?,” which climbed to #1 on the CDX Surging And Emerging AAA Chart and reached #27 on Mediabase Activator.
Sprinter was created with an impressive roster of collaborators, including Mike Savino (Kishi Bashi, Tall Tall Trees), Claude Coleman Jr. (Ween), Josiah Wolf (WHY?), Adam Schatz (Sylvan Esso, Japanese Breakfast), and mastering by Grammy-winner Joe LaPorta (David Bowie, Foo Fighters).
A multi-instrumentalist and electrifying performer, Ridgeway has been hailed as Orlando’s “Best Singer-Songwriter” (Orlando Weekly) and has shared stages with Lucy Dacus, Sylvan Esso, Houndmouth, Arcade Fire, and more. With her band The Tourists, Ridgeway delivers a dynamic set that fuses raw emotion, big hooks, and fearless experimentation.
