Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson return to Madison Square Garden for “Fifty Something” tour

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame® inductees and RUSH co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson are heading back to the stage for two very special headline performances at Madison Square Garden in New York City. As part of their 2026 “Fifty Something” tour, the shows on Tuesday, July 28 and Thursday, July 30 will celebrate the music, legacy, and life of late drummer and lyricist Neil Peart. These concerts mark the first time Lee and Lifeson have performed together in over a decade since the conclusion of RUSH’s R40 Tour in 2015.

“It’s been over 10 years since Alex and I have performed the music of RUSH alongside our fallen bandmate and friend Neil,” Lee said. “After all that has gone down since that last show, Alex and I realized we miss it, and it’s time for a celebration of 50-something years of RUSH music.” Joining them on drums will be German drummer Anika Nilles, known for her work with Jeff Beck and her solo albums, adding a new chapter to the legendary band’s live performances.

Fans can expect two sets each night with a carefully curated selection of 35 RUSH songs, spanning fan favorites and greatest hits. The performances will honor the spirit and musicianship of Neil Peart while offering an electrifying live experience with Lee, Lifeson, and Nilles. Tickets will be available through the Artist Presale, Citi presale, and general onsale starting in mid-October.

These New York City shows promise to be once-in-a-lifetime events for RUSH fans, celebrating the band’s decades-long legacy and the extraordinary artistry of one of rock’s most iconic lineups.
