Snocaps, the new band formed by twin sisters Allison and Katie Crutchfield, have announced a short run of December tour dates in support of their acclaimed self-titled debut album, released last week via ANTI- Records. The newly announced shows include two highly anticipated nights in New York City at the Bowery Ballroom (6 Delancey St, New York, NY 10002)—on December 7with Brennan Wedl and December 8 with Ryan Davis & The Roadhouse Band.
Tickets for the tour go on artist pre-sale Wednesday, November 5 at 10 a.m. local time (password: COAST), with general on-sale beginning Friday, November 7 at 10 a.m. via snocapsband.com/tour.
The Crutchfield sisters—best known for their work in P.S. Eliot, Waxahatchee, and Swearin’—formed Snocaps out of a desire to reconnect musically after years of pursuing individual projects. The band’s debut album channels the raw energy and introspection of their early work, merging Allison’s sharp indie-rock sensibility with Katie’s melodic, emotionally rich songwriting.
Backed by MJ Lenderman and Brad Cook, who also produced and engineered the record at Sonic Ranch Studios, the project captures the immediacy of collaboration between longtime friends and creative partners. Each member contributes multiple instruments throughout the album, resulting in a sound that feels both spontaneous and deeply rooted in shared history.
The December dates mark the group’s first and possibly only live run for the foreseeable future. “Allison and I have been, in some way, shape or form, doing this together for over 20 years,” Katie Crutchfield said. “So even if Snocaps takes a break, it’s safe to say we’ll always find our way back to making music together.”
With their Bowery Ballroom performances, Snocaps are set to deliver a powerful close to the year—offering fans a rare chance to see the Crutchfield sisters share the stage once again.
