L’Alliance New York will present a diverse lineup of performances and exhibitions during its Winter 2026 season, running Jan. 9 through March 23, the organization announced. The programming includes dance, theater, film, and visual arts, offering audiences a range of experiences from world premieres to reimagined classics.
The season opens with choreographer Kimberly Bartosik’s bLUr, performed Jan. 9 at 9 p.m. and Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. at Le Skyroom. Co-presented with Live Artery | New York Live Arts, the work explores urgent interventions in physical and emotional landscapes, emphasizing the human need for care and connection.
L’Alliance will continue its Comédie-Française HD Screening Series with Thomas Ostermeier’s La Nuit des rois ou Tout ce que vous voulez (Twelfth Night or What You Will) on Jan. 22 at 7 p.m., presenting Shakespeare’s comedy with a contemporary European sensibility.
On Feb. 16 at 7:30 p.m., the organization will stage Pierre Corneille’s The Illusion in partnership with Red Bull Theater. The performance, aimed at families, presents the 1636 work L’Illusion Comique as a staged reading, followed by a post-show discussion with the cast and creative team.
Dance highlights include Alessandro Sciarroni’s Save the Last Dance for Me, performed Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. and March 1 at 2 p.m., featuring the Italian folk dance Polka Chinata. A workshop on the dance will follow the Sunday performance.
The Comédie-Française HD series continues with Molière’s Le Bourgeois gentilhomme, directed by Valérie Lesort and Christian Hecq, on March 5 at 7 p.m., and a program from Paris’s Choreographic Ensemble of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris featuring Leïla Ka and Robyn Orlin on March 12 and 13 at 7:30 p.m.
The season concludes with French comedian and singer Vincent Dedienne performing his U.S. premiere Vincent Dedienne en concert (un lendemain soir de gala) on March 23 at 7:30 p.m., offering live renditions of songs based on characters from his one-man show.
Film programming includes a restored series of seven Claude Chabrol classics starting Jan. 13 and Animation First, the U.S.’s largest animation festival, launching Feb. 3 with Dandelion’s Odyssey and spotlighting Belgian animation.
