Canadian indie rock favorites The New Pornographers will perform at Webster Hall on April 23 as part of their 2026 U.S. tour, which includes stops in Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and more.
The tour kicks off April 22 at The Wilbur in Boston and features support from Will Sheff of Okkervil River. Tickets go on presale at thenewpornographers.com on Nov. 19 at 10 a.m. local time, with general on-sale beginning Nov. 21 at 10 a.m.
A portion of presale proceeds from tickets purchased through the band’s website will be donated to People’s Place, an upstate New York organization assisting residents affected by SNAP food stamp changes.
Frontman A.C. Newman recently discussed the tour and the band’s forthcoming full-length album, scheduled for release in 2026. Since forming in 2000, The New Pornographers have been acclaimed for their energetic live performances, with NPR Music calling them “stunning” and Billboard praising their “huge choruses and shimmering synthesizers.”
The group’s latest single, “Ballad of the Last Payphone,” was released as a limited 7-inch vinyl and has been highlighted by Pitchfork, Paste and Brooklyn Vegan. Paste called the song “a slow-burn meditation…vocals that swirl like a memory you can’t quite shake.”
The New Pornographers have released nine studio albums, including 2023’s Continue as a Guest, their debut on Merge Records, which received praise for its lush arrangements and signature harmonies.
