White Wave Dance will present the 10th Annual SoloDuo Dance Festival on Feb. 5 and 6, 2026, at Dixon Place, showcasing choreographic works from New York, the United States and around the world.
The festival will feature 34 solo and duet performances by dancemakers from countries including China, Israel, Korea, Mexico and Poland. The performances will be held Thursday, Feb. 5, at 7:30 p.m., and Friday, Feb. 6, at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. at Dixon Place, 161A Chrystie St., Manhattan. Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door, and $25 for students and seniors, with a three-show pass available for $70.
Founded in 2016 by White Wave Artistic Director Young Soon Kim, the festival highlights the artistry of the solo and duet, offering choreographers a platform to develop their artistic voices. Artists are selected by a panel of presenters and dance professionals.
In 2025, White Wave partnered with the ChangMu International Dance Festival in Seoul, Korea, to launch the SoloDuo Dance Festival New York | Seoul, sending two companies to perform in Seoul. The 2026 festival will continue this international exchange, selecting two companies for performances abroad.
“SoloDuo offers audiences a vivid, intimate experience while fostering the discovery and growth of new talent,” Kim said. The festival’s venue, Dixon Place, provides an intimate setting that emphasizes the nuance and emotional depth of solo and duet works.
White Wave Dance’s mission is to expand the horizons of contemporary dance through performances, festivals, residencies and educational programs, supporting choreographers and fostering collaboration within New York City’s dance community.
