Tickets are now on sale for The New York Botanical Garden’s 23rd annual Orchid Show, which will transform the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory into a vivid floral tribute to New York City this spring.
Titled The Orchid Show: Mr. Flower Fantastic’s Concrete Jungle, the exhibition runs from Feb. 7 through April 26, 2026, offering visitors a sweeping orchid-filled landscape inspired by the streets, energy and resilience of the city. On select evenings beginning March 21, the Garden will also host Orchid Nights — adults-only events featuring music, dancing, cash bars and food amid the glowing floral displays.
This year’s show is designed by Mr. Flower Fantastic, the New York-based multidisciplinary artist known for blending floristry with popular culture and street style. Often referred to as “MFF,” the artist has collaborated with brands including Louis Vuitton, Adidas and Netflix, and is recognized for his signature aesthetic that fuses flowers, sculpture and bold urban imagery.
At NYBG, Mr. Flower Fantastic reimagines familiar city scenes — from stoops and subway platforms to slice shops and street corners — as vibrant botanical installations overflowing with orchids. Fire hydrants bloom, bouquets rise from concrete and architectural elements are transformed into lush floral environments that celebrate the rhythm and diversity of city life.
The exhibition marks the artist’s first solo presentation at a major institution, expanding his practice from individual floral sculptures to an immersive world designed for exploration. Known for wearing a mask and gloves due to a flower allergy, Mr. Flower Fantastic chooses to remain anonymous, emphasizing what he calls the universal gift of flowers rather than personal recognition.
Beyond its visual impact, the Orchid Show also highlights the Garden’s ongoing work in orchid research and conservation. While many people associate orchids with tropical climates, NYBG experts note that the flowers can be found across the globe — including in New York State — and that scientists continue to discover new species. On select weekends, visitors will have the opportunity to learn directly from NYBG horticulture staff about orchid care and cultivation.
Since its founding in 1891, the New York Botanical Garden has served as a cultural and scientific hub in the Bronx, connecting people with plants through exhibitions, education and research. Its 250-acre campus hosts internationally recognized displays, while its scientists and educators work to address challenges related to climate change, biodiversity and environmental stewardship.
Support for The Orchid Show: Mr. Flower Fantastic’s Concrete Jungle is provided by the Janet Traeger Salz Charitable Trust, with additional contributions from the Wolf Kahn Foundation and the Emily Mason | Alice Trumbull Mason Foundation. Digital experiences for the exhibition are supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies.
Tickets and additional information about the Orchid Show and Orchid Nights are available through the New York Botanical Garden.
