Frog & Peach Theatre Company will present William Shakespeare’s Macbeth from March 6 to March 29, 2026, at The Cullum Theatre, 314 W. 54th St., offering a contemporary lens on the playwright’s enduring tragedy of ambition, power and moral collapse.
The production will feature 16 performances and marks the company’s latest reinterpretation of a Shakespearean classic, continuing its reputation for fast-paced, text-driven work designed to resonate with modern audiences. Directed by Lynnea Benson, co-founder and artistic director of Frog & Peach, the production aims to draw parallels between the play’s violent pursuit of power and present-day issues spanning politics, organized crime, and media influence.
“Macbeth’s ruthless grab for control mirrors the complexities of modern society,” the company said in announcing the production, noting that the story’s themes of vengeance, seduction, and moral erosion remain strikingly relevant.
DazMann Still and Amy Frances Quint will star as Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, respectively. The cast also includes Anuj Parikh, Bruno Giraldi, Chase Cortland Erwin, David Arthur Bachrach, David Elyha, Eric Doss, Erica Cafarelli, Fernando Gamarra, Hari Bhasksar, Jaixa Irizarry, Nina David, Pedro Vierre, Sashank Gummella, Steven Ungar, and Vivien Landau.
The creative team features set design by Evan Frank, costumes by Victoria Brown, and lighting design by JJ Jayaraman. Marcus Watson serves as violence and intimacy coordinator, with Matthew Seepersad as production stage manager.
Performances will run Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m., with an additional Wednesday evening performance on March 25. Tickets range from $39.99 to $44.99 and are available online. Discounted tickets priced at $24.99 are offered for students with a valid ID and seniors through March 22, with prices increasing at the door.
The production has a running time of approximately two hours and 15 minutes, including one intermission. Audience discretion is advised, as the play contains depictions of violence, sexual situations, and satanic rites.
Founded by Actors Studio members Lynnea Benson and Ted Zurkowski, Frog & Peach Theatre Company is known for making Shakespeare accessible and engaging for diverse audiences through inventive main-stage productions, new works and educational programming throughout New York City.
