Colorado-based Americana quartet Big Richard will perform at the iconic Bitter End in Manhattan on March 24. Tickets are on sale now.
Since bursting onto the Colorado music scene in 2021, Big Richard has become known for electrifying live performances, tight four-part harmonies, and fiddle-driven arrangements that blend bluegrass, old-time, classical, country, and pop. The all-female quartet has toured nationally, performing at festivals including Telluride Bluegrass, Delfest, Bourbon & Beyond, Jam Cruise, and New Year’s Eve at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
Their highly anticipated debut album, Pet, recorded live to tape to capture the energy of their stage shows, showcases the group’s mix of kinetic harmonies, string virtuosity, and bold songwriting. Mandolin and guitar player Bonnie Sims said, “Big Richard is so much about our energetic delivery, and it was really important for us to figure out how to do that for a record.”
Grammy- and Emmy-winning cellist Joy Adams added, “Our live performances are raw and gritty. Recording together in the same room made the album feel alive and human.”
Big Richard’s performance at the Bitter End promises a night of high-energy Americana music, playful stage banter, and the string-driven sound that has won them a devoted fanbase nationwide.
