Works & Process announced Friday that dancer, choreographer, and director Caleb Teicher will serve as its inaugural Artist Curator in Residence, while Aria Roach joins the organization as Associate Producer. Both appointments begin in March.
Teicher will hold a two-year term, becoming fully integrated into Works & Process operations with access to staff benefits, including health insurance. The role embeds a practicing artist into the organization’s curatorial and residency decision-making, allowing Teicher to mentor and advise artists while helping shape programmatic strategy.
“Over the past decade, I’ve done just about everything one can do with Works & Process,” Teicher said. “From performances and residencies to directing and commissioning world premieres, I am eager to join a team with a great capacity to support performing artists.”
Roach, a producer and dance educator, will manage performances, residencies, festivals, artist relations, and grants across Works & Process’s expanding network of partners and venues. She previously served as Associate Producer of Events for Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and as general manager for Caleb Teicher & Company’s touring show SW!NG OUT.
Works & Process presents more than 70 programs annually across New York City and supports fully funded creative residencies in six states. Teicher is a two-time Bessie Award recipient, and his work has appeared at Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, Jacob’s Pillow, and on NPR and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Roach holds a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and has performed with multiple New York City-based companies. Together, their roles strengthen Works & Process’s commitment to supporting artists from studio to stage.
