The Midtown Cultural Alliance will welcome the public to its second annual Open House from Thursday, March 26, through Sunday, April 5, 2026, offering a mix of free and ticketed events at five international cultural institutions across Midtown Manhattan.
Formed in September 2025, the alliance includes Japan Society, The Korea Society, Korean Cultural Center New York, L’Alliance New York, and Scandinavia House, aiming to highlight Midtown as a global cultural hub.
Visitors can explore exhibitions, live music, film screenings, performances, lectures, and literary programs spanning multiple continents—all within a few blocks of Midtown East. Participants receive a special “passport” to collect stamps at events, redeemable for free gifts once three stamps are earned.
Highlights include Japan Society’s Kawai Kanjirō: House to House gallery exhibition, The Korea Society’s Ran Hwang: Noble Blossoms, Korean Cultural Center New York’s In Transit, In Formation featuring Korean diaspora artists, L’Alliance New York’s Les tutomouves visual arts exhibition and children’s programming, and Scandinavia House screenings such as The Good Traitor and art workshops.
“New York’s Midtown East offers an extraordinary density of international culture, and our Open House is designed to give the public a chance to experience that richness in one itinerary,” said an MCA spokesperson.
