The Ballet Hispánico School (167 W 89th St, New York, NY 10024), now in its 56th year, will host its 2026 Los Explorers Summer Camp from June 22 through July 31, offering a half-day program for children ages 3 to 6 that blends dance, music, arts, and cultural exploration.
The camp, held at 167 W. 89th Street in Manhattan, will immerse participants in the arts and traditions of six countries: Brazil, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, Peru, Argentina, and Cuba. Each week features themed activities, including dance lessons, music study, and arts and crafts inspired by the history, landscapes, and cultures of the featured nation.
Campers will samba and craft masks during Brazil week, explore Ecuadorian dances and the Galápagos Islands, follow the rhythms of Puerto Rico’s Bomba, learn Peruvian folk dances, celebrate Argentine Carnavalito, and salsa through the streets of Cuba.
“Los Explorers gives children a hands-on, multi-sensory introduction to the world’s cultures through dance and creative play,” the school said. “Whether discovering a new place or revisiting a familiar one, campers experience global arts from around the world without leaving New York.”
