Broadway is offering a first look at Megan Thee Stallion in her highly anticipated stage debut as she takes on a groundbreaking role in Moulin Rouge! The Musical this spring.
The Grammy-winning artist will step into the role of Harold Zidler beginning March 24 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. The limited engagement runs for eight weeks only, concluding May 17.
Newly released images offer fans an early glimpse of Megan Thee Stallion in character ahead of opening night, showcasing her take on the larger-than-life impresario at the center of the production.
Known for her commanding stage presence and chart-topping hits, she brings a fresh and historic twist to the role, becoming the first female-identifying performer to portray Zidler in any production of the show worldwide.
Inspired by Baz Luhrmann’s iconic film, “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” has become a global phenomenon since its Broadway debut. The Tony Award-winning production blends extravagant visuals, high-energy choreography and a soundtrack spanning more than 160 years of music, from classical compositions to modern pop hits.
The show, directed by Alex Timbers with a book by John Logan, continues to draw audiences from around the world and remains one of New York City’s most in-demand theatrical experiences ahead of its scheduled Broadway closing on July 26.
Tickets are available at the theater box office and online, with strong demand expected for the limited run.
