Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro will bring its Futique Tour to Irving Plaza (17 Irving Pl, New York, NY 10003) on May 5, marking one of the group’s key stops on its spring North American run.
The trio’s return follows a series of sold-out shows across the United Kingdom and Europe, with the North American leg kicking off April 20 in Los Angeles. The tour is promoted by Live Nation.
Tickets for the New York City performance are currently on sale via Live Nation.
Frontman Simon Neil said the band is eager to reconnect with North American audiences after previously canceling a run of shows late last year.
“We are so excited to come play,” Neil said in a statement. “These gigs are going to be extra special.”
The tour supports the band’s latest album, “Futique,” released via Warner Records. The project has drawn international acclaim and amassed tens of millions of streams, driven in part by singles such as “A Little Love.”
Critics have praised the album’s mix of emotional depth and arena-ready sound. The record blends elements of the band’s early influences with the expansive style that has defined releases like Only Revolutions and A Celebration of Endings.
“Futique,” a term referring to fleeting yet meaningful moments, reflects themes of reflection and growth, with the band revisiting its roots while exploring new sonic territory.
Fans attending the Irving Plaza show can expect a setlist that combines new material with selections from across the band’s catalog, showcasing the dynamic sound that has made Biffy Clyro a staple of alternative rock for more than two decades.
