The Belmont Business Improvement District announced a lineup of fall and holiday programming taking place in Bronx Little Italy from September through December 2026. The seasonal calendar features traditional community events, live musical performances, cultural observances, and holiday activities centered around Arthur Avenue.
Programming begins on September 9 with a ceremony at East 186th Street and Arthur Avenue for Paulie’s Final Push, a 9/11 tribute initiative led by retired flight attendant Paul Veneto. Additional September activities include a Tombola game day at The Belmont Library on September 10 and the 25th annual Ferragosto Festival on September 13, featuring local food vendors, live music, and parking shuttles from Fordham University.
The fall schedule continues with a cappella performances by local group The Belmont 4 on select Fridays and Saturdays in September and October. An Italian American Heritage Month celebration featuring live music from the band Pane e Cioccolato will take place at East 186th Street and Arthur Avenue on October 12 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
“For over a century, Bronx Little Italy has stayed true to its authenticity and strong ethnic heritage, welcoming thousands of visitors each year that keep us on the map as a thriving immigrant enclave in NYC,” said Peter Madonia, Chairman of the Belmont Business Improvement District.
“We are proud to carry on this legacy today through decades-old traditions like our annual Ferragosto Festival and Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony, which not only highlight our thriving neighborhood but also encourage collaboration with location institutions like Fordham University, the Bronx Zoo, and New York Botanical Garden,” Madonia said.
Winter events begin on December 5 with the annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at Ciccarone Park, featuring caroling, treats, a Santa visit, and a toy giveaway in partnership with The Children’s Cancer Society of America. Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church will also host holiday services, caroling, and a live outdoor nativity scene with farm animals on December 22 and 23.
