Works and Process will present Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf from Saturday, December 5 through Sunday, December 13 at the Peter B. Lewis Theater at Guggenheim New York. The 30-minute production is located at 1071 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.
Isaac Mizrahi directs and narrates the performance while wearing costumes of his own design. The staging features choreography by John Heginbotham performed by Dance Heginbotham, accompanied by Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble Connect and conducted by Michael P. Atkinson.
The presentation marks an annual tradition that Mizrahi originally created for Works and Process at the Guggenheim. Mizrahi is a performer, designer, and director who previously made his Broadway debut as Amos Hart in Chicago and recently saw the 2026 theatrical re-release of his co-created documentary Unzipped.
Tickets start at $15 and can be purchased online. Every attendee, regardless of height or age, requires a ticket to enter the theater.
Choreographer John Heginbotham is a Juilliard graduate, former Mark Morris Dance Group member, and 2018 Guggenheim Fellow who founded Dance Heginbotham in 2011. Conductor Michael P. Atkinson is Associate Conductor of The Knights, and Ensemble Connect is a two-year fellowship program created by Carnegie Hall, The Juilliard School, and the Weill Music Institute.
