The Atlantic Avenue ArtWalk will return to Brooklyn this spring, transforming one of the borough’s most historic thoroughfares into a 1.5-mile public art gallery from May 9 through May 17.
The free, self-guided event features more than 125 emerging and established local artists hosted by 60 businesses. The walk stretches from Fourth Avenue to the waterfront, winding through the neighborhoods of Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, and Boerum Hill.
Participating venues include galleries, restaurants, salons, and home decor shops, which will showcase a variety of media such as painting, photography, mixed media, and three-dimensional art. The nine-day festival also includes live art demonstrations and guided walking tours.
“The annual walk combines the vision of local artists and merchants who add life, soul, and beauty to Brooklyn’s most dynamic commercial thoroughfare,” organizers said in a statement.
The ArtWalk is presented by the Atlantic Avenue Local Development Corporation (AALDC), a nonprofit focused on the economic and cultural enrichment of the district. The event is scheduled to run daily from noon to 6 p.m., rain or shine.
Sponsors for the 2026 season include Hollow Nickel, Make A Frame Atlantic LTD, and Optimum Health Physical Therapy, with additional support from the DeLaCour Family Foundation and local neighborhood associations.
A full map of participating locations and artist biographies will be released in the coming weeks on the Atlantic Avenue LDC website.
