BrooklynONE Productions will present a limited engagement of Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award–winning playwright John Patrick Shanley’s Savage in Limbo, running April 23–26 and April 30–May 3 at the Tom Kane Theatre in Industry City. Opening night is Thursday, April 23, at 8 p.m.
Directed by Anthony Marino, the production marks the first onstage appearance of Francis Shanley, son of the playwright, in his father’s landmark 1985 play. Set in a dive bar, Savage in Limbo follows a restless group of characters searching for meaning, identity, and a way forward, combining sharp dialogue, humor, and raw emotional honesty.
The cast includes Meg Felling as April White, Raye Levine-Spielberg as Linda Rotunda, Anthony Marino as Murk, Tiffany Rexach as Denise Savage, and Francis Shanley as Tony Aronica. A special talkback with Shanley will follow the Saturday, May 2 performance.
Scenic design is by Freddie Hamilton and Kevin Klakouski, costumes by Madison Edwards, lighting by Ariel Benjiman, and sound by Isaiah Rothstein. Tickets are $30 for general admission and $20 for students, available online at bkone.org/tix or by calling (347) 746-4002.
Performances run Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m., with a 90-minute runtime. The production continues BrooklynONE’s 20th season tradition of showcasing bold, contemporary theatre and emerging talent.
