Oslo’s powerhouse all-girl rock band Cocktail Slippers are heading back to the U.S. this fall with a string of dates, including a highly anticipated stop at Berlin Under A in New York City on Friday, Oct. 3, alongside fellow rockers Soraia.
The show coincides with the release of their new single, “Back Where You Belong” (Wicked Cool Records), an electrifying anthem built for the open road and the stage. The track captures the essence of touring life—windows down, music blasting, and the thrill of connecting with audiences night after night.
“‘Back Where You Belong’ is an ode to touring! The feeling you get when you hit the road again with new songs to play, the excitement of meeting new people, crowds, and fans. We belong on stage; we love new adventures and playing live shows,” the band said in a statement.
Recorded at Propeller Studios in Oslo and co-produced by the band with Mike Hartung and Stevie Van Zandt, the single is the first glimpse of their forthcoming sixth studio album.
Cocktail Slippers have built a reputation as international rock ’n’ roll queens. From a star turn on the Underground Garage Cruise in Miami—where they shared the bill with Social Distortion, L7, Rocket From The Crypt, and more—to massive festival slots at Norway’s Tons of Rock, the quintet’s fearless blend of retro swagger and modern firepower has won fans worldwide.
Rolling Stone once summed them up best: “In full hosanna, Cocktail Slippers sound a lot like the Go-Go’s but with gats instead of L.A. cheer, and a mule kick in their high heels.”
