Singer-songwriter Dar Williams will bring her Hummingbird Highway 2026 tour to Le Poisson Rouge in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, on Saturday, May 9, 2026. The performance will feature songs from her forthcoming 13th album, Hummingbird Highway, due out September 12 on Righteous Babe Records.
“Modern life is a highway filled with deep, exotic colors and beautiful, delicate things — as well as the perils that come from moving so fast,” Williams says, describing the inspiration behind her new record. A lifelong observer and storyteller, Williams captures the world from her vantage point as a touring musician. Drawing on her background as a playwright, she populates the album with richly drawn characters who come alive within a single song.
Williams is also the author of What I Found in a Thousand Towns and How to Write a Song That Matters, and since 2013 she has led songwriting workshops that encourage students to let songs find their own trajectories.
The Hummingbird Highway 2026 tour begins in New Jersey in early February and concludes with a week-long run in the UK. Stops along the way include Chicago, Nashville, Seattle, Los Angeles, Boulder, and New York City, where the tour will land at Le Poisson Rouge for this special performance.
