This fall, the New York Botanical Garden will once again be transformed into a world of moonlit magic with the return of Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Light Trail, running from September 25 through November 30, 2025.
Inspired by the beloved 1993 film, the immersive nighttime experience invites visitors to step into the enchanting worlds of Halloween Town and Christmas Town. This year’s trail is bigger and brighter, featuring brand-new scenes, dazzling light displays, interactive video projections, intelligent LED lighting, and 3D-printed sculptures of Jack Skellington, Sally, Zero, and more of the film’s iconic characters.
“We’re coming back better than ever this year,” says Jeffrey Seller, Founder of Adventurelive, the producing team behind Broadway’s Hamilton. “We took everything we learned from our first year to make an even more exciting experience: a longer trail, more surprises, and better hospitality. You’re going to want to come early or stay late for hot cider, beer, and wine, or some of the delicious snacks we’re assembling.”
Back by popular demand, this year’s Light Trail includes expanded refreshment and merchandise booths, offering themed treats and exclusive Nightmare Before Christmas collectibles designed by Creative Goods Design & Supply. The new merchandise line features t-shirts, sweatshirts, bags, and more, capturing the spooky yet playful spirit of the event.
Created by Adventurelive in collaboration with Madrid-based creative team LETSGO—known for Tim Burton’s Labyrinth and Lights in Nature—the New York Botanical Garden Light Trail spans more than 8,300 square feet. The experience immerses audiences in Tim Burton’s unforgettable vision through cutting-edge technology and artistry, ensuring a must-see seasonal tradition for families, fans, and visitors of all ages.
