Felly to perform at Music Hall of Williamsburg on Sept. 26 in support of new album

On September 26, Felly brings his Ambroxyde era to life with an intimate performance at Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn. The Connecticut native returns to New York with a fresh sound, raw emotion, and a setlist that blurs the lines between indie, folk, and alternative hip-hop. With the newly released Ambroxyde (LP) as his backdrop, this show promises a deep dive into Felly’s most honest and genre-defying work yet—performed in one of Brooklyn’s most beloved venues.
Connecticut-born and Los Angeles-based artist Felly is back with a brand new single and more insight into his upcoming album, Ambroxyde—a deeply personal, sonically rich record set for release on June 27.
Teased with the heartfelt and expansive new track “Route 44,” Ambroxyde (LP) showcases Felly at his most honest and creatively liberated. The album was brought to life with the help of Grammy-nominated and Mercury Prize-winning producer Gianluca Buccellati (known for his work with Lana Del Rey, Arlo Parks, and The Marías), and recorded in a series of breathtaking locations—including Iceland, the Greek island of Hydra, and Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas.
“Route 44” is a lulling, folk-rock-tinged love song, born from a rare moment of peace and clarity. “It’s not always like that,” Felly says, reflecting on the track’s genesis. “It’s a proper love song—I’d say there’s no way of getting around that or making it sound abstract. It’s a ‘you’re driving on a road with someone you love and you feel alright.’”
The song began as a solo acoustic piece and grew into something much bigger when Felly and his longtime bandmates brought it into the studio. “I never expected the song to build or crescendo at the end,” he shares. “But when we played it in the studio in Texas as a band, it just felt like the groove deserved an ascension.”
Across its 12 tracks, Ambroxyde marks a bold artistic leap. While Felly first rose to fame as a rapper and producer, this new album taps into the indie and alternative influences that have always shaped him behind the scenes. The result is a record that blends intimate songwriting with expansive, genre-defying soundscapes.
“This is the album I’ve always wanted to make,” Felly says. Ambroxyde isn’t a reinvention—it’s a return to self. A raw, unfiltered portrait of an artist finally free of expectations.
