Footprints Dance Festival returns for its fifth year with three days of contemporary choreography

Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre will present the Fifth Annual Footprints Dance Festival, a three-day celebration of contemporary dance featuring emerging and established choreographers, March 12–14, 2026, at Amanda Selwyn Dance Studio in Lower Manhattan.

Curated by artistic director Amanda Selwyn, the festival highlights innovative dance works with a strong theatrical sensibility. Performances will take place at 412 Broadway, second floor, with tickets starting at $20.

The festival will feature two distinct programs performed across four showtimes. Program A will be presented Thursday, March 12, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, March 14, at 6:30 p.m., and includes works by Renay Aumiller, Zev Haworth, Kathryn Green, Kat Reese, Gemma Leary, Alexandra DiCastro and Emmett Higgins, Anna Stribrny, and an excerpt from Exposedby Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre.

Program B will be performed on Friday, March 13, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, March 14, at 8:30 p.m., featuring choreography by Obremski/Works, Thomas Hogan, Jack Randel, Destiny Nguyen, Kaley Pruitt Dance, and an additional excerpt from Exposed by Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre.

Footprints Dance Festival offers audiences the opportunity to experience a wide range of choreographic voices while fostering dialogue between artists and viewers. The festival has become a platform for showcasing inventive movement and storytelling within a theatrical framework.

Founded in 2000, Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre creates dance theater works that blend athleticism with expressive, emotionally driven movement. The company has presented more than 130 productions over 26 seasons and maintains an active dance education program through Notes in Motion.
