Indie duo Hotel Fiction will bring its spring tour to the Music Hall of Williamsburg (66 N 6th St, Brooklyn, NY 11211) on April 24, 2026, performing alongside The Moss as part of a North American run supporting the upcoming deluxe edition of the band’s 2024 album, Staring at the Sun.
The Athens, Georgia-based project of Jade Ireland Long and Jess Thompson recently announced that the deluxe version of the album will be released Feb. 27, featuring four previously unheard tracks. To mark the news, the duo shared an acoustic take on its single “Sunrise,” a stripped-down version that highlights the pair’s close-knit harmonies and emotional songwriting.
“‘Sunrise’ is a song that follows a romance coming to a close,” the band said in a statement. “The acoustic version creates a more relaxed emotional landscape for the lyrics — they feel more accepting of the situation instead of passionately heartbroken, like in the original version.”
Hotel Fiction began in 2018 as a musical partnership between two students at the University of Georgia and has since evolved into a full-fledged touring act with a growing national following. The duo broke through with the single “Astronaut Kids,” which has earned more than 2 million streams and helped launch four years of steady touring in support of artists including Beach Fossils, flipturn and hey, nothing.
The upcoming deluxe release puts the band’s creative chemistry front and center. “We know each other’s musical language like it’s a second language,” Thompson said. Long added that the two often feel as though they “have the same brain when it comes to music,” a connection that shows through in the group’s layered harmonies, nostalgic melodies and emotionally direct lyrics.
Their April 24 stop in Brooklyn comes as part of a broader spring tour that will see Hotel Fiction crisscross North America, opening for The Strumbellas and The Moss in cities including Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle, Nashville, Washington, Philadelphia and New York.
With new material on the way and a busy tour schedule ahead, Hotel Fiction continues to build on the momentum of Staring at the Sun, bringing its intimate, harmony-driven indie sound to some of its biggest stages yet.
