Jimmy Eat World will bring its “Bleed American” 25th Anniversary Tour to New York with back-to-back shows in Brooklyn and Manhattan this June as part of a nationwide run celebrating the band’s landmark 2001 album.
The Arizona rock band is scheduled to perform on June 16 at Brooklyn Paramount (385 Flatbush Ave Ext, Brooklyn, NY 11201) with special guests The Get Up Kids and Hey Mercedes. The following night, June 17, the tour stops at The Rooftop at Pier 17 (89 South St Pier 17, New York, NY 10038), joined by Thrice and Girls Against Boys.
The New York dates are part of a Live Nation-promoted tour that launches June 9 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado and runs through November, concluding at Vans Warped Tour in Orlando, Florida. The tour also marks the band’s return to Warped Tour after a 25-year absence.
Originally released July 24, 2001, “Bleed American” became a defining album of early-2000s alternative rock. Certified platinum in the United States and gold in the United Kingdom, the record featured the breakout single “The Middle,” which recently surpassed one billion streams on Spotify. The album helped propel the band into mainstream success and has been cited as an influence by acts including Fall Out Boy, Paramore, and Taking Back Sunday.
On the anniversary tour, fans can expect to hear “Bleed American” performed in its entirety, along with additional material spanning the band’s three-decade career.
Drummer Zach Lind described the tour as an opportunity to express gratitude to fans who have supported the band for 25 years. Lead vocalist and guitarist Jim Adkins said the production will reflect the band’s artistic growth, calling it “an elevated version of our show” shaped by years of live experience.
