L’Alliance New York will present the dance performance “EUPHORIA” by choreographer Caroline Breton on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Two performances are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. in Le Skyroom.
The production, told through movement, color, and sound, features two half-human, half-owl creatures exploring their environment. Recommended for audiences age 5 and up, the piece explores themes of wonder and poetic metamorphosis.
“It’s hard not to get swept away in the irrepressible energy of this half-human, half-bird duo!” noted the publication L’oeil d’Olivier.
Breton, a choreographer and performer who founded the Karol Karol group in 2018, developed the work during a residency at the Watermill Center in New York. The piece premiered in Paris in March 2025 and is currently on an international tour. Breton’s previous work includes “I Hope,” “figures,” and “De Natura Rerum,” which was performed at the Festival d’Avignon.
The performance features Breton and Olivier Muller, with sound design by Benoist Bouvot and lighting design by Charles Chemin. Chloé Bellemère provided costumes and choreographic objects.
L’Alliance New York is located at 22 East 60th St. Tickets for the public start at $15. The organization is also presenting the work to school groups as part of its Young Audience Program.
Production support for “EUPHORIA” includes the DRAC Ile de France, the Fonds de dotation Francis Kurkdjian, and the Fondation Beaumarchais-SACD.
