Legendary singer, songwriter, and producer Lionel Richie will join forces with one of the best-selling bands of all time, Earth, Wind & Fire, for a summer stop at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, July 11, as part of their 2026 North American tour.
Produced by Live Nation, the 26-city tour launches June 24 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and travels across major markets including Toronto, New York, and Los Angeles before concluding Aug. 14 in Austin, Texas. The New York City performance will bring two music icons to one of the world’s most storied arenas for a night celebrating decades of chart-topping hits.

Richie, whose career spans more than five decades, has sold more than 125 million albums worldwide and earned an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and four Grammy Awards. His accolades include the Kennedy Center Honors, the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, and induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. He is also a longtime judge on ABC’s “American Idol” and the author of the 2025 New York Times bestselling memoir Truly.
Earth, Wind & Fire, founded in 1969 by Maurice White, is among the most influential bands in popular music history. With more than 100 million albums sold, eight No. 1 hits and nine Grammy Awards, the group’s catalog — including classics such as “September,” “Let’s Groove” and “Reasons” — continues to resonate with audiences across generations. The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 and received Kennedy Center Honors in 2019.
