Members Only, the iconic American brand known for its signature bomber jacket, is opening its first bar and showroom in New York City, combining fashion, cocktails, and culture under one roof. The three-level space at 53 West 8th Street in the West Village includes a ground-floor bar, a mezzanine showroom, and a lower-level lounge for social gatherings and private events.
Launched in 1975, Members Only jackets became a symbol of confidence and style, worn by figures from Frank Sinatra and Clint Eastwood to contemporary celebrities including Drake, Anne Hathaway, Fergie, Mariah Carey, and Zayn Malik. The new bar extends the brand’s identity into nightlife, offering classic cocktails and playful, globally-inspired beverages, including the Blue Lagoon, Rusty Nail, Tequila Sunrise, and a reimagined Long Island Iced Tea. Signature shots include the Brain Hemorrhage, Mind Eraser, Liquid Cocaine, and Yes Daddy. Guests can also enjoy oysters, truffle fries, Gochujang fried chicken, bistec tacos, and chocolate bread pudding with berries.
The 70-seat space reflects Members Only’s mix of nostalgia and modern cool. The front bar has 30 seats, a black marble and mirrored back bar, oak accents, and grey leather banquettes. The mezzanine showroom overlooks a garden and displays the brand’s latest collections, while the 45-seat downstairs lounge offers an intimate setting with plush seating and leather banquettes. Walls throughout the venue feature photographs of celebrities wearing the brand’s iconic jackets and limited-edition 50th anniversary golden jackets.
Though inspired by Members Only’s legacy of exclusivity, the bar is open to the public, operating weekdays from 5 p.m. to midnight and weekends until 1 a.m. More information is available at membersonly.com/pages/lounge or on Instagram at @membersonlywestvillage.
