The Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company announced its 2026 Lunar New Year Gala: Year of the Horse Celebration, set for Thursday, Feb. 26, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music, 450 W. 37th Street.
The gala will feature performances of traditional dances, including the Lion Dance and Mongolian dance, along with instrumental music. Special guests include actors Lori Tan Chinn, Perry Yung, and Jamie Guan, as well as the Ahn Trioperforming with Tae Hong Park and multimedia artist Vijay Rajkumar.
Guests will also enjoy cocktails, modern Asian cuisine from Saffron59 chefs, and a silent auction of traditional and contemporary arts and crafts. The event highlights the cultural significance of the horse in Chinese history and celebrates Women’s History Month. Tickets start at $250, with $100 per ticket tax-deductible.
Founded by Chinese American choreographer Nai-Ni Chen, the company is now led by Artistic Director Greta Campo and Executive Director Andy Chiang. The troupe tours nationally and internationally, offering educational programs and performances that merge Asian traditions with contemporary dance.
