Producers of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical The Outsiders have announced final performance dates for several members of the original Broadway cast at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 W 45th St, New York, NY 10036).
On Sunday, March 15, original cast members Trevor Wayne, Brent Comer, Jason Schmidt, Kevin William Paul, Renni Anthony Magee, SarahGrace Mariani, and Melody Rose will take their final bows. Alex Joseph Grayson, who joined the production in February 2025 as Dallas Winston, will also depart that day. Tony Award nominee Sky Lakota-Lynch is also scheduled to play his final performance as Johnny Cade on March 15.
The departures follow the earlier exit of original cast member Tilly Evans-Krueger, who will leave the production on Sunday, March 8. Evans-Krueger portrayed Ace and also served as an associate choreographer on the musical.
The Outsiders is adapted from S.E. Hinton’s novel and Francis Ford Coppola’s film and features a book by Adam Rapp with Justin Levine, music and lyrics by Jamestown Revival and Levine, choreography by Rick Kuperman and Jeff Kuperman, and direction by Tony Award winner Danya Taymor.
Set in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1967, the musical follows Ponyboy Curtis, Johnny Cade, and their fellow Greasers as they navigate friendship, identity, and class conflict against their rivals, the Socs.
The production continues its Broadway run at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre, with tickets available through Telecharge. A North American tour launched in fall 2025 and is currently playing across the United States.
