Parallel Exit will present the New York return of Sunset Circus on Sunday, March 22, and Sunday, May 3, at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan, 334 Amsterdam Ave. Performances will be held at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., with orchestra tickets priced at $50 and balcony tickets at $40. All attendees will receive digital circus-themed coloring pages with their purchase.
Back by popular demand, Sunset Circus features seven performers from Cirque du Soleil, Big Apple Circus, and beyond, presenting never-before-seen juggling and aerial acts. The family-friendly show blends acrobatics, comedy, and theatrical storytelling, offering entertainment for audiences of all ages.
The production is written by Joel Jeske, directed by Mark Lonergan, and produced by Fran Kirmser. Julie Michael and Estefania Zambrano designed the costumes, Sara Gosses handled lighting, and Peter Bufano composed the original score. Performers include Kyle Driggs, Sam Ferlo, Shereen Hickman, Joel Jeske, Randy Kato, Stephanie Keaton, and Olivia Tavolacci.
Jeske, a three-time Drama Desk-nominated performer, has worked internationally in physical theater and circus, including projects with Ringling Bros. & Barnum and Bailey Circus, Cirque du Soleil and the Big Apple Circus. Lonergan, Parallel Exit’s artistic director, has also directed multiple productions for the Big Apple Circus and led original works presented across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
