The new Irish musical Parcel from America will make its New York premiere this fall at Theatre Row in Manhattan. Produced by Ann LeClaire with Parting Glass, the show begins previews on October 28 and officially opens on November 4, 2026.
Adapted from a story by Irish storyteller Tomáseen Foley, the musical features a book and lyrics by Jahnna Beecham, Malcolm Hillgartner, and Michael J. Hume, with music by Hillgartner and Kevin Corcoran. Set in 1950s rural Ireland, the plot follows a young boy and a widow in a remote parish whose lives are changed by the arrival of a package sent from overseas.
Directed by J.R. Sullivan with choreography by Barry McNabb, the production features an international ensemble cast from Ireland and the United States. The performers include Alex Sharpe, Clare O’Malley, Michael Grennell, Mick Mellamphy, Úna Clancy, Gregg Goodbrod, Andrea Lynn Green, Adam Huel Potter, Aiden McCracken, Daniel Patrick Sullivan, Serena Parish, and Ethan Jack Haberfield.
The live score is performed by an international instrumental ensemble under the direction of Kevin Corcoran, who also serves as arranger and plays keyboards. The musical team features Isaac Alderson on whistle, flute, and uilleann pipes, Tom Fitzgerald on bouzouki and mandolin, Aimée Farrell Courtney on bodhrán, and Katie Wasko on fiddle.
The creative team includes scenic design by Harry Feiner, costume design by Debbi Hobson, lighting and projection design by Joey Moro, and sound design by Ian Scot. Parcel from America will play a limited Off-Broadway engagement through November 22, 2026, at Theatre Row, located at 410 West 42nd Street.
