The Broadway production of Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss’ Tony Award-winning hit musical SIX reached its 2,000th performance at the Lena Horne Theatre. The milestone occasion coincided with four new actors officially joining the cast as the show’s featured Queens.
Chloe Tucker Caine joined the company as Anne Boleyn, alongside Natalie Paris as Jane Seymour, Aimie Atkinson as Katherine Howard, and Stephanie Jae Park as Catherine Parr. They perform alongside continuing cast members Khaila Wilcoxon as Catherine of Aragon and Olivia Donalson as Anna of Cleves, with Lauryn Adams, Aryn Bohannon, Maggie Likcani, and Aiyana Smash serving as alternates.
Now in its fifth year on Broadway, SIX holds the title as the longest-running show to play at the Lena Horne Theatre, formerly known as the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. It ranks as the 40th longest-running production in Broadway history and the seventh longest-running Broadway show to originate in the United Kingdom.
New cast members Paris and Atkinson are making their Broadway debuts in the production while also appearing in SIX The Musical Live!. The live capture film, recorded at London’s Vaudeville Theatre with the original West End cast, was released in American and Canadian theaters by Universal Pictures Content Group on August 14.
The musical reimagines the six wives of Henry VIII as modern pop icons who take the microphone to share their historical experiences. Written by Marlow and Moss, the production officially opened on Broadway on October 3, 2021, and continues to run in an open-ended engagement.
Co-directed by Moss and Jamie Armitage with choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille, SIX has earned 23 major awards, including the 2022 Tony Award for Best Original Score. The show’s original Broadway cast album, SIX: LIVE ON OPENING NIGHT, debuted at number one on the Billboard cast album charts and earned a 2023 Grammy nomination.
