The South Street Seaport Museum will host Bowlines and Bourbon, an evening combining whiskey tasting with maritime skills, on Jan. 13 at Quick Eternity in Manhattan.

The event begins at 6 p.m. in the restaurant’s upstairs dining area, known as The Gam. Tickets are $70 and include a guided tasting of five whiskeys from Brooklyn-based Widow Jane and hands-on instruction in essential maritime knots from the museum’s instructors. Preregistration is encouraged, though walk-ins will be accommodated as space allows. The program is open to participants ages 21 and older and requires walking up and down a flight of stairs.

Attendees will learn how each knot is used in sailing and to secure the museum’s fleet of historic ships, while whiskey experts discuss the flavor profiles of each pour. Small bites will be provided, and Quick Eternity’s full menu will be available for purchase throughout the event.

The collaboration offers a unique combination of hands-on maritime education and tasting experience, blending nautical tradition with craft spirits in an intimate setting.
