South Street Seaport Museum to host Mother’s Day card printing event

The South Street Seaport Museum has announced a “Print Your Own Mother’s Day Card” event on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Bowne & Co.

The free program will run from noon to 2 p.m. at 211 Water St. Participants will have the opportunity to work with designers to create festive cards using the museum’s collection of 19th-century historical printing equipment. Attendees are permitted to take home the cards they print during the afternoon.

The museum invited the public to see the working collection in action and noted that participants can also print cards for father figures during the session. The event is open to anyone ages 12 and up.

While advanced registration is suggested for the workshop, the museum stated that walkups will be accommodated as possible.

In addition to the printing activity, the museum’s Bowne & Co. Gift Emporium will be open, offering a variety of unique products. Visitors are encouraged to attend the program with the mother figures in their lives to participate in the festivities together.
