Starry Nights return to the New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) on Fridays and Saturdays through September (except for Labor Day Weekend). Six hundred drones light up the sky—conditions permitting—during a dazzling 10-minute drone show finale, the first of its kind at a New York City cultural institution.
Starry Nights offers visitors a chance to explore NYBG’s floral and contemporary art exhibition Van Gogh’s Flowers in the glow of evening from 7:30 to 10 p.m., with live music and performers, plus drinks and food available for purchase.

September: 5, 6, 12, 13, 2025

Experience Van Gogh’s Flowers after dark
The exhibition comes aglow for evening outings that capture the twinkling allure of the artist’s nighttime scenery. Within and around NYBG’s iconic Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, visitors are surrounded by the botanical beauty that inspired Van Gogh. Wander through a breathtaking lawn of sculptural and real sunflowers and snap photos of blooming recreations of his artwork.
Conditions permitting, each night concludes with a 10-minute illuminated drone show finale celebrating Van Gogh’s iconic The Starry Night. Enjoy live music and performers evoking Parisian bistros while sipping cocktails and sampling light bites.
