The New York Pops opens 2025-26 season at Carnegie Hall with From Stage to Screen featuring Hugh Panaro and Elizabeth Stanley

The New York Pops, under the direction of Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke, kicks off its 2025-26 season in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. with From Stage to Screen. This special program features Broadway stars Hugh Panaro—currently appearing in Masquerade and renowned for performing the Phantom in Broadway’s The Phantom of the Opera over 2,500 times, as well as leading roles in Les MisérablesSide Show, and Martin Guerre—and Elizabeth Stanley, Tony Award-nominated for Jagged Little Pill and celebrated for her performances in On The TownCompany, and Million Dollar Quartet.

The evening will showcase unforgettable songs from Broadway musicals inspired by iconic films, alongside beloved tunes from movie adaptations of Broadway hits. Highlights include “Children Will Listen” from Into the Woods, “Bring Him Home” from Les Misérables, “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, and “Johanna” from Sweeney Todd.

“We are thrilled to return for our 43rd season at Carnegie Hall with From Stage to Screen, joined by our friends Hugh Panaro and Elizabeth Stanley,” said Reineke. “This celebration of Broadway and cinema highlights The New York Pops orchestra at its finest, performing some of our favorite show tunes and movie musical classics.”

  • A Place Called Home with Megan Hilty – Friday, December 19 and Saturday, December 20, 2025, 8:00 p.m.
  • If I Ain’t Got You: The Best of R&B with Maleah Joi Moon and Avery Wilson – Friday, February 13, 2026, 8:00 p.m.
  • The Music of US: From Then to Now with Max Clayton, Nova Y. Payton, and Ephraim Sykes – Friday, March 13, 2026, 8:00 p.m.

The New York Pops will also present its annual New York Pops Underground event on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at 54 Below, featuring Jessica Vosk.
