The Record Company will bring its 10th anniversary celebration of Give It Back to You to New York City as part of its current tour, revisiting the album that launched the band onto the national stage.
The tour supports an expanded reissue of the 2016 debut, which includes remastered tracks, previously unreleased songs, and a live recording from the band’s early touring years. Frontman Chris Vos said the anniversary project gave the band a chance to revisit the raw energy that defined its breakthrough.
“There was something really pure about how we made that record,” Vos said. “We didn’t overthink it. We just captured who we were in that moment.”
Among the milestones tied to the album was opening for John Mayer, including a performance at Madison Square Garden— a defining moment for the Los Angeles-based trio.
The anniversary tour revisits songs such as “Off the Ground,” “Rita Mae Young,” and “Turn Me Loose,” blending them with newer material while highlighting the album that first connected the band with a national audience.
Vos said revisiting the material for the expanded release reinforced how foundational the debut remains to the band’s identity.
“That album opened every door for us,” he said. “Putting it back out into the world with these extra pieces feels like completing the picture.”
The tour also serves as a bridge to new music. Vos confirmed that the band has completed several new tracks and plans to release singles in the coming months, with a fifth studio album expected later this year.
For The Record Company, the anniversary is both a reflection and a reaffirmation of the sound that started it all.
“It’s not about looking backward,” Vos said. “It’s about recognizing where we began and carrying that spirit into what comes next.”
