The Strokes will return to Queens for a hometown performance at Flushing Meadows Corona Park on October 2. The event marks the band’s first headlining concert in the city since 2023. The scheduled lineup for the outdoor event also features supporting performances from Beach House, TV on the Radio, and Fcukers.
Other scheduled stops on the band’s international tour include two-night appearances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and London’s The O2. The group will also perform at the RBC Amphitheatre in Toronto, the Accor Arena in Paris, and the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. Additional touring details are available through the band’s official website.
The concert announcement coincides with the upcoming release of the band’s seventh studio album, Reality Awaits, which is scheduled to arrive on July 24 via Cult Records and RCA Records. The band previewed the project last month by releasing the single “Falling out of Love” and performing the track on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. This followed the April release of another album track, “Going Shopping.”
The new album was recorded in Costa Rica alongside producer Rick Rubin before being completed at various locations around the globe. Reality Awaits represents the group’s first collection of new material since the release of their 2020 album, The New Abnormal.
