Theater Resources Unlimited is accepting applications for the 2026 fall term of its Producer Development and Mentorship Program. The virtual program offers two instruction levels starting in October 2026, with an early consideration application deadline of August 15 and a final submission deadline of August 31.
The Foundations course meets on Tuesday evenings from October through January, offering an overview of the business aspects of producing and collaborative skills applied toward a final project. Led by Tony-nominated producer Blair Russell, the class is open to artists and aspiring producers, with tuition set at $325 for new members and $270 for returning members and students.
The Master Class meets weekly on Monday evenings from October through December, focusing on personalized project development with enrollment capped at 10 participants. Taught by Tony-winning producer Jane Dubin, the advanced level is available to Foundations graduates or individuals with equivalent producing experience for $450 for new members and $395 for returning members.
“Before taking the PDMP Foundations course with Blair Russell, I was a reluctant self-producer but thanks to Blair and TRU, I am now a confident self-producer,” said former student Sam Affoumado.
“PDMP Master Class fundamentally changed my understanding of what it means to be an artist: Expansive. Transformative. Uncompromising,” said former student Kathryn Keats.
All applicants must be current members of Theater Resources Unlimited and have a specific theatrical project lined up toward production. Candidates submit application forms along with a theater resume to TRUMentor@gmail.com, with limited scholarships available upon request.
