Triskelion Arts announced that it has purchased its long-time home, solidifying the future of the Brooklyn-based nonprofit and providing stability for its programs. The news was shared during the organization’s 25th-anniversary celebration, TRISK 25: The Big Deal Party, on March 6, 2026.

The acquisition was achieved through a strategic financing structure and is considered a generational investment in dance as civic infrastructure. “This acquisition is about protection and possibility,” said Rachel Mckinstry. “It secures a permanent home for creative freedom and self-expression, a space where artists can ask unapologetic questions, seek answers, and expand the way we think. Owning our home strengthens our collective power and gives us the stability to plan and build boldly.”

Founded in 2000, Triskelion Arts supports New York City dance artists at every stage of their creative journey through performance programming, rehearsal studios, and residency opportunities. The organization presents roughly 20 productions annually, featuring more than 50 lead artists and 300 collaborators, and attracts over 4,000 audience members each year. Its four rehearsal studios are in near-constant use, operating daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Triskelion Arts provides subsidized studio rentals, open-access mentorship, non-curated performance opportunities, and sliding-scale ticketing to make the arts accessible to a wider community.

The acquisition was made possible with support from Lincoln Restler, Emily Gallagher, Kristen Gonzalez, the Howard Gilman Foundation, the Thompson Family Foundation, and The SHS Foundation. SeaChange Capital Partners and Paul Leibowitz provided key advisory support.

With ownership of its space, Triskelion Arts secures a permanent platform for New York City dance, reinforcing its mission to nurture artistic development, strengthen community, and expand the cultural dialogue through movement.
