Universal Music Group and its entertainment-driven hospitality venture, UMusic Hospitality & Lifestyle, opened a new UMusic Shop in New York offering fans exclusive merchandise and immersive experiences inspired by UMG’s iconic artists and labels.
Located at 2 Penn Plaza in Manhattan, the shop is UMG’s first permanent brick-and-mortar superfan retail space in North America. The New York store features vinyl, merchandise, and accessories from artists including Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Elton John, the Rolling Stones, Post Malone, Beastie Boys, NAS and KISS.
To mark the opening, UMusic partnered with New York-based brand Awake NY on an exclusive capsule collection called “Music Is Universal.” The shop will also host temporary pop-ups honoring Neil Diamond’s Song Sung Blue, releasing in cinemas Dec. 11, and celebrating Republic Records artist Conan Gray on Dec. 12.
The space opens with a festive holiday transformation and is designed as a cultural hub for music and style in Manhattan. Fans can explore curated artist collections, enjoy immersive experiences, and connect with the music and artists they love.
Susan Mazo, UMG executive vice president and chief impact officer, said the New York shop expands the company’s commitment to providing unique opportunities for fans to engage with artists through exclusive experiences and merchandise.
The New York location builds on previous UMusic Shop launches in Madrid and Tokyo’s Harajuku district, further establishing a global network of fan-focused retail spaces.
