Weezer will take the stage at Barclays Center (620 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11217) on Sept. 30 as part of its upcoming “Weezer: The Gathering” North American tour.
The Brooklyn stop is one of 32 dates on the arena tour, promoted by Live Nation, which kicks off Sept. 8 in Sacramento, California, and wraps Oct. 24 in Los Angeles. The band will be joined by special guests The Shins and Silversun Pickups.
The performance follows a string of major touring milestones for Weezer, including its sold-out “Return to the Blue Planet” tour celebrating 30 years of the band’s self-titled debut, widely known as “The Blue Album.” The group also recently completed the global “Hella Mega” tour alongside Green Day and Fall Out Boy.
Fans attending the Barclays Center show can expect a setlist spanning Weezer’s extensive catalog, along with new material, including the upcoming single “Shine Again,” set for release on April 1. The track will appear on the band’s forthcoming, currently untitled album, marking their first project with Reprise Records and Warner Records.
Formed more than three decades ago, Weezer has sold more than 35 million records worldwide and remains a staple of alternative rock, known for hits that continue to resonate across generations.
Tickets for the Sept. 30 show in Brooklyn are available now via Live Nation.
As one of New York City’s premier indoor venues, Barclays Center is expected to host a high-energy stop on the tour, bringing Weezer’s signature blend of nostalgia and new music to a large-scale audience.
