Works & Process, in collaboration with the Martha Graham Dance Company, will present a first look at a new work by choreographer Jamar Roberts on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 7 p.m. at the Peter B. Lewis Theater.
The preview is part of GRAHAM100, a centennial celebration of the Martha Graham Dance Company, and comes ahead of the company’s New York City Center season in April. Tickets for the March 22 performance start at $25.
The new work was created in part during a residency at The Church in Sag Harbor for Graham Company principal dancer Lloyd Knight and features a commissioned score by composer Stahv Danker. The evening will also include excerpts from Roberts’s We The People, performed by Knight alongside other leading dancers of the company.
Following the performance, Roberts and Knight will take part in a moderated discussion with Martha Graham Dance Company artistic director Janet Eilber, offering audiences insight into the creative process behind the new choreography.
The event will take place at the Peter B. Lewis Theater, located at 1071 Fifth Ave. and is presented by Works & Process, which receives lead support from a range of private foundations and public funding sources. Tickets and additional information are available through Works & Process.
