The Grammy-winning British band Gorillaz will return to Manhattan this fall. The live show is scheduled for September 29, 2026, at Madison Square Garden. The performance serves as a major stop on the band’s upcoming 2026 North American tour, which marks their first extensive tour across the continent since 2022.
The tour itinerary includes 22 arena dates alongside a headlining festival appearance at Shaky Knees. Coinciding with the stadium concert, a specialized immersive installation titled House of Kong will open for a limited run at the Agger Fish Building in Brooklyn. The exhibition is scheduled to open on September 1 and will conclude operations on the morning of September 28, the day before the Madison Square Garden concert.
The creative concept behind the exhibition was developed by artist and creative director Stephen Gallagher and his studio, SWEAR. The project was built in direct collaboration with band creators Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn, along with Eleven Management. Gallagher noted that the installation functions as an audio-visual artwork and a forward-looking installation rather than a standard retrospective.
The visual display tracks the virtual history of the band’s fictional members, including bassist Murdoc Niccals, singer 2D, drummer Russel Hobbs, and guitarist Noodle. The interactive rooms trace the group’s musical history starting from their initial debut release of Tomorrow Comes Today in 2000. The New York installation follows previous exhibition runs completed in London and downtown Los Angeles.
Public ticket distribution for the exhibition has already launched following initial pre-sales held for Kong Card holders. The venue will remain open from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. daily through September 27, with an abbreviated schedule on the final day. Ticket processing, promotional trailers, and general scheduling information are being managed through the official Gorillaz online portals.
