Broadway Bares returns with spy-themed ‘License to Strip’ fundraiser

Broadway Bares at the Hammerstein Ballroom on June 21 2026

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS has announced the return of its annual burlesque spectacular with a new espionage-inspired edition, “Broadway Bares: License to Strip.” The event is scheduled for Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

The production features more than 200 of New York City’s professional dancers in large-scale production numbers. Two performances are scheduled for 9:30 p.m. and midnight.

Directed by Kellen Stancil, a veteran of the event and dance supervisor for the national tour of The Lion King, the show serves as a major fundraiser for people living with HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening illnesses. Jerry Mitchell, the Tony Award-winning creator of Broadway Bares, serves as executive producer alongside Nick Kenkel.

Last year’s production, “Broadway Bares: Come Out, Come Out,” raised a record $2.4 million. Since its inception, the annual event has raised more than $31 million for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Tickets for the 2026 edition start at $75. VIP packages, including the “Stripper Spectacular” and “Barest Insider Experience,” offer perks such as backstage tours, private cocktail parties, and access to the final dress rehearsal. Tickets and packages are available at broadwaycares.org/bares.
