Five New York City dance companies schedule collaborative summer festival at Lincoln Center

The BAAND Together Dance Festival will return for its sixth consecutive year at the David H. Koch Theater from July 28 through August 1, 2026. The five-performance event brings together five prominent New York City institutions, including Ballet Hispánico New York, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, and Dance Theatre of Harlem. The programming is organized as part of Lincoln Center’s broader Summer for the City initiative.

Performances are scheduled for Tuesday through Friday at 7:30 p.m., with a final matinee on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. Tickets for the festival are being offered on a choose-what-you-pay basis starting at $5 to increase community access to the performances. Financial backing for the collaborative series is provided by luxury brand CHANEL alongside corporate support from Chase.

The collaborative repertory program features a distinct piece from each participating company. American Ballet Theatre will present Claire Davison’s pas de deux “Zephyr,” and Dance Theatre of Harlem will perform Jodie Gates’ three-movement piece “Passage of Being.” New York City Ballet will stage Lar Lubovitch’s “Each In Their Own Time,” Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will present Judith Jamison’s emotional duet “A Case of You,” and Ballet Hispánico New York will perform Cassi Abranches’ “Trança.”

A free public panel discussion featuring the artistic leaders from all five organizations will precede the opening performance on Tuesday, July 28, at 5:00 p.m. The conversation will take place in the David Rubenstein Atrium and will be moderated by Donald Borror. Panelists include Eduardo Vilaro, Alicia Graf Mack, Matthew Rushing, Susan Jaffe, Wendy Whelan, Jonathan Stafford, and Robert Garland.

The event will also provide daily interactive opportunities for the general public. Each afternoon throughout the festival run, individual companies will host free public dance workshops inside the David Geffen Hall lobby. The educational classes are structured to accommodate participants of all age groups and physical abilities.
