Mix and Match Productions has announced the official launch of Matchbook Fest 2026, a new summer performance festival in Manhattan. The five-week event will run from July 22, 2026 through August 21, 2026. All scheduled performances will take place at the Greenwich House Theater, located at 27 Barrow Street.
The festival is designed to showcase theatrical and musical works at various stages of development. The programming includes theater, live music, comedy, staged readings, cabaret, and interdisciplinary performances. Audiences will have access to everything from first-round script readings and one-night experiments to polished workshop presentations.
Several established performers and creators are confirmed for the inaugural lineup. The schedule features appearances by Emmy-nominated actor and television host Steve Burns, Tony Award winners Matt Doyle and Bonnie Milligan, and Saturday Night Live cast member Alex Moffat. Tony Award nominee Bryce Pinkham, writer Zack Zadek, playwright Charlie Oh, and choreographer Ellenore Scott will also present work.
The five-week calendar is organized into themed presentations and standalone productions. Weekly events feature specialized Matchbook Spark pairings, which combine two developing works into a single evening. Notable solo productions include Steve Burns Alive, a piece exploring internet mythology and fame, and Bryce Pinkham’s solo musical titled Father Time.
Mitch Marois, Maxwell Beer, Lana Russell, Alex Montoya, Caitlin Berg, and Cassie Pierce serve as producers for the festival. Tickets are currently available through a 24-hour pre-sale window on TodayTix. Click here to purchase tickets.
