Vietnamese-American artist Dolly Ave has released a new music video for her latest single, “BAD BRAIN,” alongside the announcement of a summer concert schedule that includes a regional performance this August.
The upcoming run of live performances features a regional stop at Berlin in New York City on August 14, 2026. The broader tour officially begins on July 8, 2026, in Santa Ana, California, following a preliminary performance at the Anime Expo Los Angeles on July 2, 2026. The summer itinerary is scheduled to target major metropolitan areas, including Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.
The new single blends alternative-pop, indie-rock, and 1990s musical influences. The track is currently available for streaming across all major digital platforms.
According to Dolly Ave, the song details her personal frustrations regarding her life path.
“I am suffering from the weight of everyone’s expectations while navigating what I truly want,” Dolly Ave said in a statement regarding the track. “In the end I understand part of it is my own self-deprecating behavior. I accept my flaws and choose to continue on with uncertainty.”
The artist is currently preparing to release a new studio album later this year, with additional single releases planned for the coming months.
Dolly Ave’s previous debut album received radio airplay on stations such as 103.5 KISS FM in Chicago, KEXP, and ALT 98.7 in Los Angeles. Her work has received media coverage from Billboard, Rolling Stone, and Harper’s Bazaar, and her music has been featured on editorial playlists across Spotify, Amazon Music, Vevo, and YouTube.
The musician’s industry background includes being named to the Recording Academy’s NEXT Class in 2024. She is also a current participant in the Converse All Star Class of 2026. Her recent independently produced music showcase received operational support from both Live Nation and Coca-Cola, and she recently organized a Los Angeles event celebrating AAPI musicians in partnership with Converse.
